VEHICLE RECOVERY

WHAT IS LOCAL VEHICLE RECOVERY?

Local vehicle recovery is when your vehicle cannot be fixed at the side of the road and it is towed to the nearest garage or your home, whichever is closest.

DOES INSURANCE COVER RECOVERY?

If you have fully comprehensive car insurance, usually vehicle recovery is included.

WHAT IS UK NATIONAL VEHICLE RECOVERY?

National vehicle recovery means that in the event that your car cannot be fixed at the side of the road, your vehicle can be towed to any destination in the UK.

HOW MUCH DOES VEHICLE RECOVERY COST?

The cost depends on the size and type of vehicle that is being recovered. For more complex recoveries (HGVs, multi-passenger coach or buses etc) and the complexity of the recovery you can expect to pay a minimum of £100 for the initial winching setup plus £100 to £250 per hour depending on the required equipment and the number of operators involved.
Generally in most areas of the UK, you should expect to pay between £150 to £200 for emergency vehicle recovery. Although, single operators that only deal with local car recovery may charge less.
